What is Kredo Mobility?
Kredo Mobility is a South African platform that brings vehicle value, history, finance and identity verification together in one place — for buyers, sellers, dealers, banks and insurers.
Is Kredo Mobility free to use?
The consumer-facing CarFree tools — including the vehicle value calculator — are free to use. Dealer, bank and insurer products such as CarTrust and CarKyc are offered on a commercial basis.
Which cities or regions do you cover?
Our data sources and checks cover vehicles registered anywhere in South Africa.
Vehicle Value & Calculator
How is my car's estimated value calculated?
The calculator uses your vehicle's make, year, mileage and condition, weighed against current dealer market listings and standard depreciation modelling, to produce an estimated value range.
How accurate is the free calculator?
It's a strong starting estimate, but it isn't a certified valuation. For a bank-grade figure — for example for finance or insurance purposes — run a full CarValue report.
Do I need to create an account to use the calculator?
No. The calculator is free to use with no signup required.

What does a CarTrust vehicle history report include?
A CarTrust report checks SAPS stolen status, outstanding finance interest, accident and insurance claim history, salvage status, microdot identification, and verified vehicle specifications.
Where can I see what a report looks like before I pay?

How long does a vehicle history check take?
Most CarTrust checks return results in minutes. On average, our end-to-end vetting turnaround across the platform is about 24 hours.
What is the Kredo Certificate?
It's a single, verified vehicle record shared across banks, insurers and dealers involved in a transaction — removing duplicated checks and giving every party the same trusted information at no extra cost to view.

CarCredit gives you a quick, pre-qualification read on your vehicle finance eligibility before you submit a formal application, so you know where you stand upfront.
Will checking my finance readiness affect my credit score?
A readiness check is a lighter, pre-qualification enquiry intended to give you visibility before a formal application — always check the specific terms shown at the time of your enquiry.

How does buyer/seller identity verification work?
CarKyc lets you verify the identity of the person you're dealing with — confirming who they are and flagging fraud risk — before you meet, pay, or hand over a vehicle.
Is my personal data secure?
Yes. All checks run through secure, encrypted processes, and we never sell your personal information to third parties.
Do I need the other party's consent to verify their identity?
Yes — identity verification should only be run with the knowledge and consent of the person being verified.
